Time Out Pub opened its doors on April 12, 1981.

The vision was born on Christmas Day 1980: to introduce a fresh pub concept to Taormina—a town world-famous for its beauty, but missing that authentic "local pub" spark.

Our journey began in an intimate spot overlooking the ruins of the ancient Roman Odeon. Just steps from the main street, it quickly became a vibrant melting pot where locals and travelers shared stories against a backdrop of history.

In 1987, we moved to our current home, featuring a lush, shaded garden that remains a favorite for our guests today. It was here we found our true calling: live sports.

The ultimate turning point came during the 1990 World Cup in Sicily, when we met Irish supporters for the first time. It was "love at first sight," sparking a mission to bring the perfect pint to Taormina.

By February 1995, the Guinness finally arrived, and we officially relaunched as an authentic Irish Pub.

We have never stopped evolving. In 2006, we expanded our menu to include gourmet burgers, signature club sandwiches, and wraps for globally-minded diners.

Most recently, in 2021, we completed a full refurbishment to ensure our aesthetic matches the high standards of hospitality we have held for over 40 years.
